The stock price of Lake Resources N.L. (OTC: LLKKF) increased by 10.87% in the most recent trading session. Investors responded positively to a report Ford Motor Company announcing that it signed a non-binding deal to buy lithium from Australia-based Lake Resources.
Ford is aiming to buy 25,000 metric tons per year of lithium from Lake’s Kachi project in northern Argentina, which is being developed with privately-held extraction company Lilac Solutions. The Kachi project, in northern Argentina near the Chilean border, is expected to cost around $540 million and open by 2024.
